KSC is a profit-making company with the community at heart. Every bottle sold creates ripples of positive impact across Eastern DRC's communities, farmers, and environment.
KSC serves as a development resource aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. Our flagship programme addresses the root causes of instability in Eastern DRC by building economic opportunity from within.
Due to a lack of jobs, youth join rebel groups as a means of surviving. The situation is worse for Internally Displaced Persons who face trauma alongside poverty. KSC creates economic pathways so youth have a better future to choose.
DRC has 80 million hectares of arable land yet suffers acute hunger and poverty due to conflict and lack of investment. By adding value to local produce, KSC encourages farmers to invest in agriculture - combating poverty and hunger directly.
KSC uses an exponential training model: one empowered beneficiary empowers another, making the programme both effective and efficient. Our target is 5,000 IDPs - youth and women - empowered with skills and seed funding by 2026.
Our CSR strategy is built on four pillars that guide every decision - from the farm to the consumer.
In eastern Congo, women are the strongholds of the household. Empowering a woman means empowering the entire community. KSC places women at the centre of its social mission - ensuring they receive skills training, leadership opportunities, and economic access.
Over 40% of our supply chain partners are women-led farming cooperatives, and we deliberately prioritise women entrepreneurs throughout our operations and training programmes.
Youths are prone to joining militia groups due to unemployment - particularly IDPs who face the twin burdens of displacement and economic exclusion. KSC equips them with entrepreneurial skills, hindering them from joining armed groups and building a generation of Congolese entrepreneurs instead.
Both women and youths receive seed funding after training, giving them real capital to start their businesses. Our exponential model ensures each trained beneficiary trains another.
KSC trains local Congolese farmers - especially IDPs - and partners with the DRC government to secure land for the large-scale cultivation of the crops we use. KSC then buys these products at a fair price for soft-drink production, creating a guaranteed market that incentivises agricultural investment.
We pay premium prices for quality produce, provide technical support for better yields, and guarantee consistent purchase volumes so farmers can plan their seasons with confidence.
North Kivu's natural environment - its volcanic soils, water bodies, and rich biodiversity - is what makes our ingredients exceptional. We have a responsibility to protect it. KSC's production processes prioritise minimal waste, water-conscious operations, and environmentally responsible packaging choices.
We produce high-quality drinks that are affordable and competitive, proving that sustainability and commercial success are not in conflict.
We started KSC with a simple belief: a business can be commercially successful and socially responsible at the same time. KSC is a profit-making company with the community at heart - because our long-term success depends on the health of the communities and ecosystems around us.
Every KSC bottle sold is a vote for local agriculture, fair trade, and the economic potential of Eastern DRC.
